First time business interaction with GermanTech. I have a Mercedes C250 in which the check coolant light came on. It had come on intermittently for a month or more. After regular checking of the coolant reservoir, the level finally went down, As I had a relationship with Stein in the past, I took the car to Springdale (new owners). As my husband was dealing with an issue with Springdale for his car, I was cautious about what they suggested as repair. They did a pressure test and indicated that they couldn't find anything definitive. They suggested the cap to the reservoir was faulty and the reservoir needed to be replace. They also suggested additional work. As I didn't fully trust what they suggested, I decided to bring the car home and research another place to take the car. After some research and due to the convenience of GermanTech, I took the car to GermanTech. They did a pressure check for over an hour and then continued the pressure check over night. They were unable to identify a leak source (including cap to the reservoir). They did not try to sell me additional services. After consultation, it was decided to wait and watch as an active leak could not be identified. I appreciate this approach rather than guessing what the problem might be, selling the repair that may not actually fix the problem. I will be back in the future with the hopes of an ongoing honest relationship.
